Facial Recognition: A Dangerous Tool?

In Italy, the government plans to increase facial recognition and video surveillance in public places in cities. Meanwhile, Europe’s no has arrived, with a series of limits on the use of this technology.

In fact, the privacy and fundamental rights of citizens must be protected. The lawyer Carlo Blengino, an expert in digital rights, explained to me that, due to its invasiveness, this system is also a very powerful tool for controlling the population.

We all risk ending up, with our biometric data, in the databases of the administrations.
